Air Quality
We have a specialist capability in Air Quality Assessment providing project management and technical support to a number of Industrial Operators, Local Authorities, Property Developers, and Regulators. We are happy to provide this service on its own or as part of a larger contract such as a PPC application or Environmental Statement.
Atmospheric Dispersion Modelling
We have a specialist capability in atmospheric dispersion modelling. We are license holders of advanced dispersion models including ADMS-4 and ADMS Roads which can be combined with GIS tools for quality mapping output and emissions inventory tools for large studies.
Examples of this work include air quality and odour impact assessments for planning applications, PPC permit applications, EIAs and industrial and traffic impact assessment for Local Air Quality Management (LAQM). Single and multiple sources can be assessed from controlled and emergency/accidental releases including flares and fires.

Local Air Quality Management (LAQM)
We have completed air quality Review and Assessment reports for a number of Local Authorities since the LAQM programme started in 2000. These have included:

- Updating and Screening Assessments
- Detailed Assessments
- Assistance with the declaration of Air Quality Management Areas (AQMAs)
- Preparation of Action Plans
- Scenario testing e.g. low emission zones, vehicle restrictions in urban areas
- Design and management of monitoring studies
Personnel
Our air quality specialist Annie Danskin has 13 years experience in the field of air quality consultancy and research, managing projects for and providing introductory and advanced training courses and technical support to a large number of local authorities, regulatory authorities, industrial operators and academic institutions. She had major involvement in the development and validation of the ADMS (Atmospheric Dispersion Modelling System) range of models and supporting documentation and was manager of the technical support helpdesk servicing over 200 clients. She has prepared expert witness reports for public inquiries and presented at public meetings, conferences and exhibitions on numerous occasions.
